This pair of mills is really "Eye Candy." The lighter wood is Catskill area poplar, with a slight green cast in parts. The red accents are padauk from Aftica...and yes, that is the natural color of the wood!
The pepper mill of this pair has the very popular "Antique" style mechanism, is easy to load (we will include a vial that is the exact shape to refill this mill with a starter of multi-colored pepper) and is fully adjustable from "barely cracked" to "Pepper Dust!" The mechanism for the salt mill was made in the USA and fully guaranteed by the manufacturer against defect.The pepper mill is 9 3/8" tall to the top of the knob, and the salt mill is 6 5/8" tall. Each has a 3" wide base for stability.
