This mill is one of a kind! The body of the mill is an interesting design with a quarter of walnut and 3/4 Spaulted Maple. Spaulting (a stage in the decay process) makes the amazing "black lightening" design in the maple. The finishing halts the decay process and preserves the design. This mill is 9 1/2" tall and 2 7/8"" across the base of the mill. This design is easy to fill, and it is easy to adjust the grind of your pepper. We will include a vial of multi-colored pepper and you can reuse the vial to refill this mill. #2607 is sanded by hand with multiple grits, and finished to make it easy to clean. It is signed, dated and the woods are identified on the base. The number refers to its image in our database, so if ever there is a question or concern we know exactly which mill you are referring to. This design is one of two recently turned (the other is #2606) and the mechanism the "talk of the table!" We have an "antique" style mill we have used daily for over four years.
