This special mixed wood mill set is turned of basswood from our Catskills of New York, and exotic lacewood from tropical South America. The combination is stunning and would look marvelous in a white kitchen!
This pepper mill (#1729) is turned in our popular “Antique-style” design. The lacewood is a marvelous contrast to the lighter basswood. When you look at the grain of the lacewood, you will see a marvelous pattern that is perfectly named. The grind is easily adjustable, and is very easily filled. The size is 9 ½ inches tall, and 2 ½ inches at the base. The mill is finished with Polycryl© for easy care.
The matching salt mill (#1730) features a ceramic mechanism made by Chef Specialties in Smethport, PA. The totally American Made mechanism carries a lifetime guarantee by the manufacturer. The metal handle is our own design crafted of an actual restored valve handle! George has adapted it to become the perfect “eye candy” practical conversation piece. The mill is 7 inches tall and 2 ½” inches across the base. The mill is finished with Polycryl© for easy care.
Each of the mills is signed and dated and the wood identified. Every mill is also accompanied by a tag identifying the type of wood and care. The mill is coded with a number on the base, and we have a photo of that piece.. If there is ever a question, please note that number when contacting us.
