Our pepper mills (intended only for pepper) are individually lathe-turned of a single wood hand selected from our stock of native woods. The overall height is usually about 9 ½” and is about 2 ¼” at the base. Each mill has a brass or copper fixture (by others). The mechanism is adjustable so you may select the grind. If you have a preference for finish, please indicate that in your order.
The mills are turned on one (or more) of our five lathes. Each mill is hand sanded through several grits and multiple layers of finish are applied. Every mill receives several coats of finish with sanding between coats. Care is easy...just wipe with a damp cloath. Each of the mills is signed and dated and the wood identified. Each mill is also accompanied by a tag showing the type of wood and care. Every mill is coded with a number linked to our database. If there is ever a question, please note that number when contacting us.
The Mill shown is turned of Maple with a brass mechanism; approximately 9 1/4" tall (including the mechanism) and 2 1/2" at the base.
